Zeikos ZE-LH77 77mm Soft Rubber Lens Hood

This hood is not as long as the Canon hard shell hood but is easier to pack and attach when needed. I have only used it a couple of times but it seems to work and is very effective. You pull forward to extend the hood and push rearward to collapse the hood. It appears to be very well constructed. Fits nicely in the camera bag when not in use.

Pros: It screws onto the lens securely and stays put.

Cons: The hood may become a little malformed if not stored properly. It will return to the normal, round shape but this may cause a problem if you are in a hurry and do not have the time to work it back into shape.

This hood works well on the canon 100-400 lens. It can be left attached either collapsed or extended and the lens cap still fits. It does not fall off like the factory hood. And it is quite inexpensive.
